#Metoo in the medical sector: investigating sexual harassment committed by doctors
How come that doctors in several European countries experience little to no professional consequences if they violate the law and ethical principles of their profession by committing acts of sexual harassment and abuse? Why do relevant institutions often fail to act and how does “the medical omertà” protect them?
A cross-border investigation is underway on the phenomenon of sexual harassment and sexualized violence in the medical sector of four European countries and at the European level. We'll share how we've done it in our countries and how we've investigated the European mechanisms so that you can do it too!

One, two, three, coordinate: How to manage ad hoc cross-border teams like a pro?
Do you really need a coordinator if you work in a small cross-border team? Can you both participate in an investigation as a reporter and coordinate it? How can you keep track of a team of 60 journalists from 25 countries and keep them (and yourself) sane? And what are the dos and don’ts to keep in mind when coordinating an investigation for the first time?
In this session, led by journalists Hazel Sheffield (coordinator of 'Money to Burn'), Audrey Travere and Phineas Rueckert (coordinators of the Cartel Project by Forbidden Stories), we'll explore the good practices and no-go zones in the coordination of ad-hoc cross-border investigative teams.

Morning booster: Lost in Transition - How the EU’s Green Deal is being greenwashed?
EU’s Green Deal is an ambitious plan to tackle climate change. But big emitters have already intensified their lobbying efforts and are trying to ride the wave of the EU’s just transition plan by presenting themselves as green businesses.

How much greenwashing has been done around the EU’s ambitious climate plan? The team of investigative journalists analysed the lobbying efforts by the gas industry that pushes for wider use of so-called blue hydrogen, which could ultimately endanger the EU’s plan to become climate neutral.

Join us for a discussion with journalists from the IRPI media to learn how they’ve investigated gas lobbyists and how you can do it in your country as well.

Read their stories on greenwashing HERE (in Italian).

The Energy Charter Treaty - how much it costs us and why it could prolong Europe's fossil age
Europe has pledged to cut almost all greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. That task is already hard enough - and Energy Charter Treaty that since the 1990s, guarantees foreign investors the right to sue states before international arbitration courts, makes it even harder. Today still, this mechanism is used by European companies to sue European states for billions of euros - and getting out of it doesn’t seem to be a foreseeable option.

Investigate Europe journalists zoomed into this complicated mechanism -join us to learn about what they found and how they crunched the data.

Read their investigations HERE.
